LIFEPAK 1000 Pads & Battery: QUIK-COMBO Part Numbers
The LIFEPAK 1000 is a professional-grade AED built for EMS, fire and industrial use — and it uses Physio-Control's QUIK-COMBO electrode system, which is worth understanding because it appears across several devices in the range.

What REDI-PAK pre-connect actually buys you
The 11996-000017 electrodes are supplied pre-connected to the device. In practice that removes a step under pressure: the rescuer opens the package and places the pads rather than first locating a connector and seating it correctly.
It also removes a failure mode we see constantly on other models — the AED that chirps because a pad connector was never fully seated after the last replacement. With pre-connect electrodes there is no connection for anyone to get wrong.
QUIK-COMBO across the range
QUIK-COMBO is Physio-Control's shared electrode platform, which is why the same paediatric electrode 11101-000016 appears for both the LIFEPAK 1000 and the CR Plus family. For an organisation running several Physio-Control devices, that consolidates some of your consumable stock.
Be careful not to over-extend the idea, though: the LIFEPAK CR2 uses QUIK-STEP electrodes 11101-000021, not QUIK-COMBO, and the two are not interchangeable. Similar names, different parts.
Deployment and intervals
The LIFEPAK 1000 is frequently vehicle-mounted or carried to scene, which is the harshest environment an AED experiences — heat, cold and vibration all shorten real-world consumable life. Inspect more often than the printed dates alone would suggest, and replace pads immediately after any deployment.
