The heated version of the ZOLL Rotaid Solid Plus. It carries the same rotating cover and alarm as the standard model, with an integrated 24 volt heating system and thermostat that keep the interior above the temperature at which AED batteries and electrode gel begin to fail. Rated to -5 F / -20 C.

Electrode gel can freeze, battery capacity drops sharply in low temperatures, and a device that reports ready at room temperature may not perform in an unheated space. How to choose: this cabinet is the answer when the wall drops below 40 F but the AED is still inside your perimeter. If the device also needs to be reachable when the building is locked, take the 247 instead. If you already own an unheated Solid Plus, the Rotaid 24 V heating system, part number 40.2500, retrofits it for less than a replacement cabinet.
Compatibility
Universal AED cabinet. Houses ZOLL AED 3, ZOLL AED Plus, Powerheart G5, and most common AED models. A heating system is also available separately as an upgrade to the standard cabinet, part number 40.2500, if you already own an unheated Solid Plus.
Program Context
Plan the electrical supply before installation. A heated cabinet needs power at the mounting location, and discovering that after the cabinet is on the wall means a second trade visit. Check manufacturer operating temperature ranges for your specific AED model and confirm the cabinet keeps you inside them: the -20 C floor here is the cabinet rating, not a guarantee for every device stored in it.
