Standard pads or Intellisense CPR pads?

Both are genuine Cardiac Science adult electrodes and both work in the G5. The difference is what the device can tell the rescuer.

Standard adult pads XELAED001B deliver the shock. They are non-polarised, meaning it does not matter which pad goes where on the chest — a small but real advantage under pressure.

Intellisense CPR pads XELAED002C add compression feedback, so the G5 can coach rate and depth during CPR rather than only managing the shock. Chest compression quality is one of the strongest predictors of survival, and most lay rescuers compress too shallow and too slow.

Our recommendation: if your responders are trained professionals who practise regularly, standard pads are sufficient. If your AED will most likely be used by whoever happens to be nearby — an office, school, gym or church — the CPR feedback pads are worth the difference.
