GE’s brand new VIVID E95 v203 is GE’s premier flagship cardiovascular ultrasound system. This is a high-end cardiovascular ultrasound system with key imaging technologies such as cSound and superior 4D imaging. GE’s new cSound technology allows the ultrasound system to process more information up front, using a software-based beamformer technology instead of a hardware-based beamformer such as traditional scanners today. A software-based beamformer allows most of the image data to be processed before being displayed on the screen and displays the darkest blacks and greyest greys producing a crystal-clear image without any artifact. cSound technology can be used for cardiac, vascular, MSK, breasts, thyroid, abdominal, and pediatric cardiac. The E95 v203 also includes a 22” high-resolution OLED monitor, a 12” LCD touch navigation screen and an adjustable floating keyboard. The 12” LCD touch navigation screen allows for easy data management and helps with workflow during pre- and post-image processing. The VIVID E95 v203 also included optional XDclear probe technology to help increase cardiac imaging. XDclear is available on the M5Sc-D single crystal cardiac probe to help with 2D cardiac and doppler testing. Like all GE ultrasound systems, the E95 is loaded with software options to help increase image quality or help quantify diagnostic information from the exam.
