AIRPHX uses proprietary technology to generate oxidizing molecules from ambient air that continuously treat both air and surfaces in occupied spaces. These molecules eradicate pathogens at a cellular level, including coronavirus (-229E), norovirus, staph, influenza, mold, rhinovirus, MRSA, and the odors they cause, with effectiveness verified by independent testing against more than 30 pathogens. How does AIRPHX work?

AIRPHX devices draw ambient air through a plasma cell to produce a unique mixture of naturally occurring oxidizing molecules at levels proven to kill germs and viruses. Only trace levels of gas-phase hydrogen peroxide exit the unit—completely safe and typically less than 1/50th of health-regulated limits. Because no chemicals or liquid additives are used, the AIRPHX process is safe and certified to comply with Federal organic standards.

What size area does an AIRPHX unit treat?

PA2400: Typically treats 250,000 cubic feet (25,000 sq. ft. with 10 ft. ceilings).
CID 75k: Typically treats 75,000 cubic feet (7,500 sq. ft. with 10 ft. ceilings).
IDU 250k: Treats 80,000–400,000 cubic feet depending on duct airflow (average 250,000 cubic feet).

Coverage may vary by layout, HVAC system, humidity, and cleaning protocols. In some cases, the built-in seven-day timer can be used to adjust operating hours.

Do AIRPHX units create any smells?

In recommended spaces, AIRPHX operates virtually odor-free. In smaller areas or directly near the unit, you may detect a faint disinfecting smell, but it is completely safe and well below regulatory limits.

Is AIRPHX more effective than simply increasing air exchanges?

Yes. Increasing air exchanges is costly, unproven for reducing human-generated airborne bacteria and viruses, and can increase indoor mold and fungi from outdoor air. How do I know AIRPHX is working?

Once installed, AIRPHX immediately begins disinfecting air and surfaces. The Active LED (or annunciator for IDU 250k) indicates the unit is functioning. Over time, you may notice fresher air, fewer odors, and even a decrease in sick days. If the Active LED turns red, check and reset the filter indicator.
