The Lifeline VIEW is the Defibtech with a full-colour video screen — and despite the shared family name, none of its consumables are interchangeable with the standard Lifeline. This is one of the easiest mix-ups to make in the category.

The four-year battery

The VIEW battery DCF-2003 is rated for four years. If your unit travels by air, the FAA-approved version DCF-2013 is the compliant equivalent at the same four-year rating — worth specifying up front if the AED is destined for an aircraft, a flight department or a marine application.

Pediatric coverage

The VIEW uses separate paediatric electrodes DDP-2002 with their own expiration date. Diary it alongside the adult set.

What pads does the Defibtech Lifeline VIEW use?

Adult electrodes are part DDP-2001 and paediatric electrodes are DDP-2002. These also fit the Lifeline ECG and PRO.

Can I use standard Lifeline pads in a Lifeline VIEW?

No. The standard Lifeline uses DDP-100 adult pads and the VIEW uses DDP-2001. They are not interchangeable despite the shared product family.

What battery does the Lifeline VIEW take?
