Naloxone Auto-Injector 10 mg (NAI 10 mg) is a Rapid Opioid Countermeasure System (ROCS) that helps protect military personnel, firefighters, EMS, and police officers. Synthetic opioids like fentanyl and carfentanil can pose a devastating threat to the protectors of our communities. Having access to a point-of-injury countermeasure is a major step forward to ensure their safety.
The NAI 10 mg is the highest FDA-approved dosage of naloxone as a countermeasure against high-potency opioids. It is the only naloxone product with indications – post-exposure and preventative use ahead of a mission. The NAI 10 mg is a gas-powered, fully automatic retractable needle system that achieved the FDA draft guidance standard of 99.999% device reliability.
ROCS is designed to be the size of a credit card, weighs approximately 58 grams, and is easy to use. To use NAI 10 mg, you must pull the auto-injector from the outer case, pull off the red safety guard, and proceed by placing the black end of the auto-injector against the outer thigh (through the clothing of MOPP4 PPE if needed).
